Finding Peace In Islam

Written by Ragil Rahmasari.

Islam is peaceful religion  that teaches theology, anti-violence and called for peace, namely rahmatan lil 'alamin, or compassion for all creatures. In fact in the Qur'an described a practical guide to managing the peace. First, we are commanded to look after each other and tighten the brotherhood (QS.49: 10).
The common thread that we can draw from this command is to bring about peace, everyone should feel brothers. If we're feeling brothers, both fraternal co-religionists, compatriots, countrymen, and the brotherhood of man, then the order of a peaceful life will surely come true ..
Secondly, we are forbidden to criticize, ridicule and demeaning others (Sura 49:11). Denounced the act, mocking and demeaning of others can lead to conflict between communities. It was clear from the content of the verses of the Qur'an is that we should not degrading human beings. Because every human being on this earth has distinct advantages and disadvantages. Differences should realize that not cause violence, conflict, hostility, and so forth, which can damage the peace and peace.
Third, everyone was ordered to stay away and do not spread prejudice, finding fault, and wag  others in the community. These actions are prohibited by Islam, because it can cause jealousy and discontent among the people. If so, then peace will be realized and peace impossible.
There are still many Qur'anic verses that call for peace. In fact almost all the verses of the Qur'an in tune with the Principles-principles above. There is a separate message from the accentuation of the theology of the Qur'an's anti-violence, which is a lofty ideals and noble society to create a peaceful, just and harmonious

I. Definition of Peace
Peace is a comfortable atmosphere that is free from interference of others, free of hostility, hatred, revenge and all that troublesome behavior of others. Peace to everyone's expectations. It's really hard we can live in comfort, quiet and khusyu 'worship if peace disturbed. Kesemena-menaan, revenge, tyranny, hatred and hostility are the attitudes and behavior of anti-peace, and anti-Islamic. It is true that the difference is a natural and reasonable thing happens in the life of our society. God has ordained the we live in a difference or diversity. The difference is natural and universal. However, the differences should not tarnish the peace. Dasassr differences should not be used as a justification for anyone to harass or disturb the peace of other people's lives, not least peace of the people who are always opposed to the Islamic principle of us.

2. Principles of peace
Dr. Yusuf al-Qardhowi in his book "Faith wal hayah" (Faith and Life) outlines several principles that are at the root clump of peace, namely:
1. Among the fruit of the love infused by faith in the hearts and lives of Muslims is the freedom of conscience from the pull strength of envy and jealousy. The light of faith which is the engine of peace or the potential to destroy the seeds of hatred and hostility.
2. A good Muslim does not hold grudges and hostility, because he likes forgiving and generous. He was able to withstand the anger though he came to power, is entitled and able to implement it. He was charitable heart, though he was right. The believer does not envy, does not hold grudges, harbored no resentment, because of envy, hatred, and revenge are sown seeds of hatred which the devil, negative seeds that inhibits peaceful. Conversely, brotherhood, togetherness, love and affection as well as clean heart is heavenly garden that leads from God.
3. A good Muslim is more precedence and priority to the interests of his friends, rather than its own purposes. In this connection, the time of the Prophet, the Ansar (original inhabitants of Medina) provide assistance to the relatives of the immigrants so as to create a brotherhood that is very closely based on the soul and the spirit of compassion, and sincerity.
The principles that lead to peace on top of being a source of strength / potency of Islam that is very positive at this time, especially when we are often faced with dilemmas and socio-political realities that disrupt the rhythm of life. Islam teaches that the direction and purpose in life is God Almighty. If God is the source of peace and peace itself, the principle of peace must be our common concern and reflection so obsessions and signaled a promising al-Qur'an of Islam as a way of salvation, or peace can be a political reality in the trajectory of our lives. May Allah guide us to become the best people to help create world peace, a minimum of comfort and peace that is felt by the people who live in our social spectrum.
3. According to the Islamic concept of peaceIslam is a peaceful religion, Divine Doctrine boils down to peace. In line with this principle, Islam strongly encourages us to forgiving spirit, because forgiveness is very close to the faith as hinted by al qur an al-Baqarah 237. وأن تعفوا أقرب للتقوى forgiving spirit, a sincere resignation is a source of peace, and he is one of the groups summarize the basic teachings of Islam. In the spirit of the teachings such as what has been described above, the quality of faith in the life of a Muslim should be measured from the quality and quantity of the peace that is felt all the people who live next door or intersect, interact with it. Not a good Muslim if personal or social life become a source of misfortune and anxieties of others. In a hadith the Prophet once reminded us that

المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده
Meaning: a Muslim (the good) is the individual that other Muslims feel comfortable and at peace from the statements and behavior.
Islam is so beautifully laid the foundations of social life. Once the jelly and anti-sipatif Prophet lead us to the creation of the comforts of life. Principle as outlined by the above hadith we must ponder when ideology and spirit of selfishness, egotism, sectarian so pronounced, that the spirit of the ideology of modern life are vulnerable to conflict. At present Islam as a religion of peace tends to be forgotten, at least marginalized from the center of religious consciousness. Even the holy teachings of Islam that justifies violence as the concept of jihad is not overly simplistic, even misinterpreted to justify the interests of certain groups. In everyday life, perhaps because the incentive to meet the needs and interests of individuals or groups, many people forget how Islam is to respect the rights of others, uphold the spirit of peace. As a result, conflict, hatred, hostility and many more forms of anti-peace stance happening everywhere. We must quickly realize that it is impossible to live in the spirit of fomenting hatred and enmity, living far from the spirit of the basic principles of Islam
The Qur'an and the hadith is the basic source of Islamic teachings. The behavior of our lives should not be out or at odds with the teachings of Islam in the above two sources. There is no single verse in the Qur'an and hadith no one else who rekindle the spirit of discord, enmity, antagonism, or any form of behavior negatf, repressive peace threatens the stability and quality of life. As a religion that comes within the framework of a culture of violence and hostility in the Arab community of ignorance, at least the receiving culture of violence, Islam came with the principle of love (mahabbah), togetherness (ijtima'iyyah), equation (Musawah), justice ('is) , and fraternity (ukhuwah), as well as respect for diversity.
In the Qur'an, man is raised repeatedly rank as the actualization of his soul in posetif. The Quran says that man is inclined to the truth as a principle of basic human nature. God created humans with a potential trend, which tends to the truth, tends to goodness, tend to beauty, tends to the glory, and tend to holiness. The Word of God [QS. ar-Rum (30): 30]
Islam is a way of salvation, the spirit of love can melt and reduce hatred and hostility. Because the pull of this spirit, the friend who had come to see the Messenger of Allah to take revenge for the murder of his parents and then the attack. In the frame of the spirit of togetherness, Islam has laid down another principle, namely any legal rights in Islam must prioritize the dimensions of togetherness. Choice is morally right must not threaten the bond of togetherness. With the spirit of equality, Islam hating attitudes and behaviors that discriminate on the basis of social stratification, that is discriminatory. Through teaching 'is, Islam wants to create a life that is not choose the situation of love. Through a spirit of brotherhood, Islam and break the ice break the social relationships among humans.
Allah created mankind and jinn in order for them always and only devote themselves to worship - Him alone. It is the obligation of the above obligations are not negotiable - fresh again. "Colour khalaktul Insa illa liyakbudun wal jinn." And I have not created jinn and man to worship - Me. "Qs Az Zariayat (of wind flying) 51:56
Position described in the Qur'an carry out all the commandments of God is as a guide. In order for the journey and the process of national and state human made Islam in particular, focused only on the divine path alone.
The real status of the Qur'an is the revelation of God, but God Himself is the source of value that must be obeyed. That's why Al Quran karim berfungssi nul full as the primary source of prime and once in the teachings of this monotheism. Torches each torch was already in hand - one of us, then it is every Muslim sepantasnyalah behavior basing his life on the road and guidance of God's revelation.
He will say already. "Indeed We have sent down unto you the Book with the truth, that ye judge between man and what God has revealed to you. And do not be naysayers (people - people who are not guilty) because (oppressed) people - people are treasonous. "Surat An Nisa (Women) 4:105.

Allah SWT has been giving out instructions to mankind through the Al-Quran and Hadith is therefore expected that human beings can behave and the way of life based on Quran and Hadith, regardless of profession. Is he a leader, merchants, private sector workers, farmers, fishermen and others. Since Islam came with the principle of love (mahabbah), togetherness (ijtima'iyyah), equation (Musawah), justice ('is), and the brotherhood (ukhuwah), as well as respect for diversity.
